RESISTANCE CINEMA: T2 JUDGMENT DAY

August 29, 2026 · 8:00–10:00 PM
Heavy Manners Library
2115 Sunset Blvd.

The future is here, and maybe we should have listened to Sarah Connor.

This month, Resistance Cinema takes us into the terrifying world of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, a film that feels more relevant with every passing year. What was once science fiction, a world where artificial intelligence grows beyond human control, machines become capable of making decisions for themselves, and technology becomes a threat to human survival. It’s increasingly part of the conversation surrounding our own future.

As AI creeps further into our everyday lives, T2 asks a question that feels less hypothetical than it once did: What happens when the technology we create becomes more powerful than our ability to control it?

Skynet may be fictional. The questions it raises are not.

Come watch one of the defining films about technology, power, surveillance, artificial intelligence, and humanity's struggle to remain in control of its own future. Then join us for a night of Resistance Cinema, where we don't just watch movies—we think about what they are warning us about.

Come for the movie. Stay for the resistance.
